She visited the Wolf Conservation Center in New York State in September 2013, where she gained a greater understanding of their plight in North America where there is an ongoing War on Wolves. Wolves have been perceived as evil and vermin which should be banished from the landscape via trapping, poisoning, aerial shooting and torture. The 'Myth of the BIG BAD WOLF' has been so detrimental to their survival. They have been extirpated in most of their historical range around the World. Recently, scientists have made a breakthrough discovery - the greatest in the last 50 years, that of 'TROPHIC CASCADE' where top predators have been proven to re balance ecosystems which have been degraded by various herds. They have great ecological value and are essential to the health of the planet.

She has chosen the 'Raincoast Conservation Foundation' to be the recipient of funds raise through her efforts in 2014. As Raincoast has a holistic approach. Here are the projects listed in their 'Tracking Raincoast into 2014': Oil Free coast, Large Carnivore Conservation, Salmon for Wildlife, Sustainable Tourism and Wolves, Ethics and Ecology. Their greatest success is securing 28,000 square kilometers of the 'Great Bear Rainforest' (GBR) on the BC Coast by purchasing tenure rights. She strongly supports their goal to purchase the tenure rights to the remainder 60,000 sq. kms of the 90,000 sq. Kms of the (GBR). Thus, creating the largest refuge from trophy hunting in the World.
The (GBR) - is a predominantly untouched ecosystem with unique species such as the Spirit Bear and the Coastal Wolf. A jewel of an ecosystem which needs to be saved in its entirety. Something ALL Canadians could be proud of.

The 'Coastal Wolf' or the 'Raincoast Wolf' is a genetically distinct species with an unbroken lineage. They are known as 'The LAST WILD WOLVES'. They have just recently been studied in the last decade. Some of their unique behaviours; they fish salmon along side the Grizzly bears, they are strong swimmers and can swim up to 10kms in ocean currents between islands. The population has not been established therefore uncontrolled hunting could jeopardise their future. Trophy hunting is barbaric and inhumane. It has been banned by coastal nations on their territories as it is not supported by their Spiritual way of life.
